ylam deme is an architect (arb) and artist working across furniture, textiles and printmaking. her practice focuses on rekindling forgotten memories and explores how disappearing crafts can inform and inspire new contemporary forms.
whether through printmaking or assemblage, her work seeks to give form to what resists permanence, attempting to capture the fragile images of consciousness and memory.
she lives and works between the uk and côte d’ivoire and has completed a number of private architectural projects.
